According to the Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Jerusalem, Israeli forces closed the Bab al-Amoud area, prevented citizens from accessing it, and began demolishing the shop.
Ahmad Al-Zagharneh, Mayor of Al-Ramadin, stated that Israeli forces demolished six commercial facilities, totaling around 20 shops, and blocked the road leading to the affected commercial sites connecting Al-Dhahiriya and Al-Ramadin.
Meanwhile, dozens of extremist Jewish settlers stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque (the Noble Sanctuary) in Jerusalem from the Bab al-Maghariba gate under heavy protection by the Israeli police.
The Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem reported that the settlers toured the mosque’s courtyards, received explanations about the so-called "Temple," and performed Talmudic rituals in its eastern area.
Israeli forces imposed restrictions on worshippers and Jerusalemites entering the mosque and held their identification documents at its gates. Wide calls continue for Palestinians in Jerusalem and the occupied territories to gather at Al-Aqsa and resist occupation plans.
In another development, the Israeli army and the Shin Bet announced a wide-scale military operation in the northern West Bank on Wednesday morning. The Israeli army radio reported raids in Tubas city and the towns of Tamoun and Aqaba with large forces accompanied by bulldozers and aerial surveillance.
The army stated, “We will not allow [resistance] positions in the area and will act proactively to thwart them,” describing the operation as “extended” over several days, similar to previous operations in West Bank refugee camps during the Gaza conflict, and announced a curfew starting at 4 a.m.
The Tubas Directorate of Education announced the closure of public schools and kindergartens on Wednesday to ensure the safety of students and staff. Tubas and Northern Jordan Valley Governor Ahmed Al-As’ad announced the suspension of all government and private institutions, noting that the occupation aims to disrupt the governorate and restrict movement.
Al-As’ad said the governorate would “activate the emergency committee to address humanitarian needs and essential services” and coordinate with local institutions to provide emergency assistance.
The Israeli occupation has intensified attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, since the start of the Gaza conflict, resulting in approximately 1,070 Palestinian deaths, over 10,000 injuries, and more than 20,000 arrests, including 1,600 children, according to Palestinian sources.
