Israeli occupation authorities continue to close the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied city of Jerusalem, preventing worshippers from reaching it for the seventeenth consecutive day, citing security conditions linked to the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran.

For the first time since 1967, the occupation has barred worshippers from performing prayers and Itikaf (spiritual retreat) within Al-Aqsa Mosque, resulting in the absence of worshippers during the final Friday of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Jerusalem Governorate has warned of a dangerous escalation in provocative rhetoric led by the so-called "Temple Organizations" against Al-Aqsa Mosque, amid the ongoing closure.
The Governorate emphasized that these actions cannot be viewed as "temporary security measures" as claimed by the occupation authorities. Instead, they fall under a political and ideological agenda aimed at altering the existing religious, historical, and legal Status Quo of the blessed mosque.
