During a press conference with his American counterpart, Antony Blinken, at the conclusion of the international coalition meeting against "ISIS," Prince Faisal bin Farhan stated, "Normalization serves the interests of the region, but the Palestinian issue must be addressed first."

In response, Blinken clarified that "the US will play a leading role in expanding normalization efforts with Israel,” Amad News reported.

He added, "We are working on integrating Israel into the Middle East, and we have been working to deepen existing agreements."

Civil nuclear program
On another note, bin Farhan confirmed that Saudi Arabia desires to assist the US in enhancing its civil nuclear program.

He said, "It is no secret that we are developing a civil nuclear program."

He further added, "We are developing our domestic nuclear program, and Washington and other countries want to participate in the development of this program."

Israeli Energy Minister Israel Katz had previously expressed opposition to the idea of Saudi Arabia developing a civil nuclear program as part of Washington's mediation to normalize relations between the two countries, fearing that such a program might be used as cover for producing a bomb.

Katz stated when asked about the possibility of the Saudi civil nuclear program in the context of a potential agreement to establish relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel, "Israel does not encourage such matters. I do not believe that Israel should agree to such matters."

He continued, "We are focused on a path towards sustainable prosperity for the Saudis."

Bin Farhan affirmed that China is an important partner for the Kingdom and the region, while also explaining that Saudi Arabia continues to develop security and military relations with the United States.

He added that the threat of ISIS is not limited to the coastal states but extends to the entire world, emphasizing that the Kingdom is making significant efforts to combat ISIS financing.

Sudan Crisis
He emphasized that the Kingdom will continue to work towards finding ways to alleviate the suffering of the Sudanese people, stressing the need for the parties involved in the Sudan conflict to bear their responsibilities and avoid further destruction.

He also affirmed that work is underway with Africa to confront terrorist organizations, stating, "We believe in our responsibility towards Africa as an important source of cooperation."

In regards to Syria, he noted that dialogue with Syria contributes to resolving humanitarian issues in the region.
