CAIRO — Egyptian national security expert, Mohamed Makhlouf stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech regarding the Philadelphi Route is provocative, suicidal, and an assault on the peace agreement between Egypt and Israel, known as Camp David, Khaberni reported. اضافة اعلان

On Saturday, Netanyahu stated that the Philadelphia Axis should be in the hands of Tel Aviv, emphasizing that Israel will not accept any other arrangement.

Makhlouf, the deputy editor-in-chief at "Dar Akhbar Al Youm," pointed out that he sees Netanyahu's statement as an attempt to drag Egypt prematurely into direct warfare in response to it. However, he emphasized that Egypt always responds practically to those who cross red lines, not just through statements, citing the example of the red line drawn in Sirte-Jufra.

This statement was a desperate attempt by Netanyahu to imply a continuation of his rule and to appease his society with sympathetic statements that will quickly cast shadows on reducing his presence within the Israeli authority, Makhlouf confirmed, especially since he has been exposed politically, economically, and militarily to the resistance movements in Palestine.

Furthermore, he warned Netanyahu against approaching the Egyptian borders, asserting that it is a rejected act, and Egypt's land has never been and will never be breached. He also clarified that the Egyptian Armed Forces are in a state of complete readiness and will not allow any threat or violation of its borders, regardless of the cost.
