TEL AVIV— On Thursday, Israeli newspaper Maariv reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is contemplating abolishing the War Cabinet and reallocating its authority to members of the smaller Political-Security Cabinet, Khaberni reported. This move comes amid a crisis instigated by New Hope party leader Gideon Sa'ar's threat to withdraw from the Israeli emergency government unless he secures a seat in the War Cabinet. The newspaper mentioned that Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir would not hesitate to resign from the government if Sa'ar were to become a member of the War Cabinet and he did not.
