Two citizens were martyred and five others were injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting a residential apartment in the Bashamoun area, east of Beirut, during the early hours of Tuesday, according to a report from the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health.

A Lebanese security source told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) correspondent in Beirut that a Palestinian national from the Burj al-Shemali camp in southern Lebanon was also martyred in an Israeli raid at the camp's entrance.
Ground Incursion and Abductions
The source added: "An Israeli infantry force entered the town of Halta in southern Lebanon, where they raided a house and opened fire on its residents. This led to the martyrdom of one individual and left several others wounded. The force also abducted four citizens before withdrawing."
Furthermore, the source reported additional airstrikes by warplanes targeting the towns of Al-Majadel and Deir Ntar.
