AMMAN — Western allies to Israel, which include the US, UK, and other European countries have proven that it only interferes when it serves its own interests. According to some regional analysts, regardless of moral standing and humanitarian consequences, what the West wants, the West will get.اضافة اعلان

This is evident in recent escalations in the Red Sea, the US, UK, and other European countries created a coalition to attack the Houthi movement to secure maritime navigation in the Bab Al-Mandab Strait, despite the fact that Yemen did not kill anyone or obstruct the flow of navigation except for ships bound for Israel, Jo24 reported.

While the Houthi resistance movement is under siege for its support of Palestinians in Gaza, the West is primarily interested in lowering shipping costs, funding the Israeli occupation, and erasing Palestinian culture.

The West, with all its capabilities, has the right and resources to stand with the Israeli occupation in its barbaric war on helpless people, but it is not permissible for any Arab country to resort to practical measures to support Palestinians.

American culpability in the ongoing genocide cannot be explained or placed in a logical perspective that is understandable and comprehendible. The death and damage that has besieged Gaza's 2.3 million people is insufficient to persuade the US and its allies to put an end to Israel's barbaric onslaught. The US had numerous opportunities to call for a ceasefire; but, it decided to veto the motion every time in the Security Council.

According to the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, the US has vetoed resolutions critical of Israel 45 times as of December 18, 2023. The US has vetoed 89 Security Council resolutions in total since 1945, meaning slightly over half of its vetoes have been used on resolutions critical of Israel. Of the vetoed resolutions, 33 pertained to the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories or the country’s treatment of the Palestinian people.

This proves that the West does not prohibit or restrict subjugating indigenous people and killing their chances of living in freedom and security, no matter how great the human and moral cost.
