Delegations from Qatar, the United States, and Turkey are set to join on Wednesday a new round of discussions on U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to end the war in Gaza, which consists of 20 provisions. This comes after two days of indirect talks between Hamas and Israel.اضافة اعلان

The talks began Monday in Sharm El-Sheikh following Hamas’s approval to release hostages in exchange for the release of Palestinian prisoners as part of the plan.

According to Axios, Trump’s envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner arrived in Sharm El-Sheikh on Wednesday morning.

Joining the talks Wednesday are Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and his special envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, along with Turkish intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin.

Indirect negotiations between Hamas and Israel started in Sharm El-Sheikh on Monday, October 6, 2025, and lasted four hours. They continued Tuesday in what two informed sources described as a “positive” atmosphere.

The talks have focused on “mechanisms for handing over Israeli hostages—both living and deceased—in exchange for Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails, Israeli withdrawal maps, and the entry of aid with the start of a ceasefire, along with transferring administration of the Gaza Strip to an independent Palestinian technocratic committee.” Hamas has also demanded clarification of the mechanisms and procedures needed to implement Trump’s plan, as well as guarantees to prevent Israel from resuming its aggression against Gaza.

Trump’s plan to end the war in Gaza includes a clause stating that “once all hostages are released, Israel will release 250 prisoners serving life sentences, in addition to 1,700 Palestinians from Gaza detained after October 7, 2023, including all women and children arrested in that context. For each Israeli hostage whose body is returned, Israel will release the remains of 15 Palestinians.”

The discussions come after Hamas agreed to release all hostages in Gaza in exchange for the release of Palestinian prisoners.

A senior Hamas official said the movement’s delegation in Egypt is working to overcome all obstacles toward reaching a ceasefire agreement in Gaza that meets the aspirations of the Palestinian people, adding that the proposals for a ceasefire, including Trump’s plan, were addressed with a high sense of responsibility.

Trump stated that once an agreement is reached to end the war in Gaza, “we will do everything possible to ensure that all parties abide by it.”

On Monday, September 29, 2025, Trump published his 20-point plan to end the war in Gaza, which still requires the approval of the concerned parties. The plan stipulates, among other provisions, that he would personally chair a committee overseeing the transitional phase in the Gaza Strip.
