With the start of the Hijri year 1448, astronomical calculations have revealed some of the most prominent and important dates for Muslims during the new year, chiefly the date of the first day of Ramadan 2027 and the first day of the blessed Eid al-Fitr.اضافة اعلان

The Hijri Calendar website for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia clarified that the month of Ramadan 1448 will fall within the first third of next year, with the first day of Ramadan 2027 expected on Monday, February 8.

The specialized website noted that the sighting of the Ramadan 2027 crescent moon will be observed on Saturday, corresponding to Shaban 29, 1448. It is anticipated that the eighth Hijri month will be complete (30 days) and will end on Sunday, February 7, with the month of fasting commencing the following day.

As for Eid al-Fitr 2027, the same website explained that the month of Ramadan 1448 is expected to be incomplete (29 days), ending on Monday, March 8. This means that the first day of the blessed Eid al-Fitr will be Tuesday, March 9, 2027.

Arab and Islamic countries differed among themselves regarding the start date of the Hijri year 1448; while the new year began on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, in some countries, others determined that Wednesday, June 17, was the first day of the month of Muharram 1448.
