Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir stated on Sunday that 1,000 Hezbollah members must be killed for every Israeli soldier.
Ben-Gvir added that the southern suburb of Beirut (Dahiyeh) must be shaken in response to every launch executed by Hezbollah.

Israeli officials have escalated their rhetoric toward Lebanon following recent attacks attributed to Hezbollah. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich called for a military response in Beirut's southern suburb after the Israeli army announced it had detected drones launched from Lebanon toward northern Israel.
Smotrich stated that "the firing from Lebanon toward northern towns represents a test for the Dahiyeh equation announced by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu," demanding that it be "firmly executed by bringing down buildings in the southern suburb of Beirut in response to these attacks."
This rhetoric reflects escalating pressure within Israeli right-wing circles on the Netanyahu government to adopt a harsher approach toward Hezbollah and the Lebanese front.
