The General Command urged all citizens and residents to exercise maximum caution, stay away from affected sites and suspicious objects, and refrain from filming military operations or crash sites. It also called on the public to disregard rumors, rely on official sources for information, and follow government media for updates and alerts.
The statement clarified that the use of ballistic missiles and drones to target civilian objects and private property constitutes a "blatant violation of international humanitarian law and the UN Charter," emphasizing that these attacks pose a direct threat to regional peace and security.
The conflict with Iran erupted on February 28, following large-scale U.S. and Israeli airstrikes under operations "Epic Fury" and "Lion’s Roar." These strikes targeted vital facilities and command centers, resulting in the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on the first day, alongside senior officials and IRGC commanders.
In response, Iran launched operation "True Promise 4," firing hundreds of missiles and drones toward Israel and regional states while closing the Strait of Hormuz, causing a global spike in energy prices. The war expanded to Lebanon on March 2, following rocket attacks by Hezbollah, which prompted a large-scale Israeli aerial campaign and a ground incursion into Southern Lebanon.
