The Senate issued the recommendations after approving the Real Estate Ownership Law as passed by the House of Representatives on Monday.
The chamber also called for ensuring fair compensation for farmers in Ghor Al-Safi whose land was expropriated for the Arab Potash Company.
The Senate recommended amending legislation to facilitate the transfer of state-owned land to companies in which the government holds a majority stake, such as the Industrial Estates Company.
It also called for holding community consultations before legislation is referred for approval, establishing a clear system to determine fair compensation for expropriated property, and training staff at the Department of Lands and Survey in property partition and automation.
