Simultaneous Attacks on Victoria Military Base
In a related development, Iraqi security authorities announced on Saturday morning renewed attacks on the Victoria Military Base, located near Baghdad International Airport.

According to the Baghdad Police Command, two drones targeted the base shortly after the embassy attack. Iraqi air defense systems engaged and shot down both drones in the vicinity of the base.

Official Iraqi Condemnation
Iraqi security authorities strongly condemned this "dangerous and unprecedented escalation," highlighting the risks posed by strikes occurring near densely populated residential neighborhoods.

The Security Media Cell issued a statement on Saturday, emphasizing:

This approach represents a blatant violation of all human values and international conventions.

Any pretext used to justify targeting individuals deep within residential areas is legally and ethically void.

Turning the homes and alleys of peaceful citizens into theaters for military operations is a "full-fledged crime" aimed at breaking the public will and terrorizing innocents.

Assaulting citizens within their residential surroundings is classified as an "international crime."
