1 in 6 children under two in Gaza suffers from acute malnutrition — WHO

GAZA – On Tuesday, the World Health Organization (WHO) stated that malnutrition is “particularly extreme” in northern Gaza, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.اضافة اعلان

Richard Peeperkorn, the WHO representative for Gaza and the West Bank, emphasized that the situation is particularly severe in northern Gaza. One in six children under the age of two in this region suffers from acute malnutrition. Among them, nearly three percent experience severe wasting, the most life-threatening form of malnutrition.

Urgent treatment is crucial to prevent medical complications and death inthese young children. It is important to note that this data was collected in January, so the situation may be even worse today.
