A child and a young man were martyred, and two other young men were injured early Monday after being shot by Israeli forces and settlers in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron.
According to Palestinian sources, 15-year-old Reda Sami Hassan Awad and 19-year-old Issa Arafat Ismail Awad were martyred by Israeli gunfire near the settlement of Karmi Tzur, which is built on land and property belonging to residents of Beit Ummar.
The sources stated that the two victims were left bleeding for an extended period before Israeli authorities withheld their bodies.
Two other young men were also wounded by Israeli gunfire in the town and were transferred to a hospital for treatment. Their condition was reported to be stable.
