His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II held a video call on Sunday with members of the Jordan national football team ahead of their anticipated FIFA World Cup 2026 match against Algeria.
During the call, the Crown Prince conveyed the support of His Majesty King Abdullah II for Al-Nashama, reaffirming his strong confidence in the players and their ability to shoulder responsibility and represent Jordan in the best possible manner.
His Royal Highness praised the team’s outstanding performance and fighting spirit displayed in their opening match, emphasizing that the national team had given Jordanians a sense of pride through the level of performance, discipline, and determination shown during the previous game.
The Crown Prince encouraged the players to continue their journey with the same spirit and determination, to play as one team, and to learn from mistakes while working to correct them.
He also stressed the importance of the role played by the head coach and technical staff in guiding the team during the upcoming stage, emphasizing that all players should take pride in their participation and performance on the World Cup stage.
For his part, Jordan national team captain Ehsan Haddad said that the players’ morale remains high and that everyone understands the responsibility they carry. He added that the team will give its utmost effort against Algeria to achieve a result worthy of Jordanian fans’ ambitions, bring them joy, and continue representing the country in the best possible way.

He accompanied the video with the message: “All of Jordan is behind you.”
