Jordan is set to experience a noticeable rise in temperatures over the coming days, with meteorologists forecasting a temporary heatwave that will peak on Thursday before conditions cool heading into the weekend.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department, Wednesday's weather remains moderate across most regions, with relatively hot conditions prevailing in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds are expected to blow from the northwest at moderate speeds.
On Thursday, a significant increase in temperatures is anticipated, with readings forecast to climb 5 to 6 C above the seasonal average. The weather will be relatively hot across the country and hot in the desert and low-lying areas, including the Jordan Valley and southern regions. Northwesterly winds will remain moderate but may intensify during afternoon hours, potentially stirring dust in the Badia.
A marked drop in temperatures is expected on Friday, bringing back more moderate conditions to most parts of the country. However, the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba will continue to experience relatively hot weather. Winds will remain northwesterly and moderate, with occasional activity likely to raise dust in desert areas.
Saturday’s forecast indicates continued mild conditions across the highlands and urban centers, with relatively hot weather in the southern and eastern parts of the country. Winds will persist from the northwest, occasionally becoming active and dusty in open areas.
On Wednesday, temperatures across the Kingdom are expected to vary significantly between regions. In East Amman, highs will reach 31 C with lows around 18 C, while West Amman will see a slightly cooler range of 29 C to 16 C.
The northern highlands are forecast to record temperatures between 26 C and 15 C, and the Sharah highlands between 28 C and 16 C. In the Badia, conditions will be markedly hotter, with highs reaching 37 C and lows around 19 C. Similar highs of 31 C and lows of 18 C are expected in the plains.
The northern Jordan Valley will see temperatures between 35 C and 19 C, while the southern valley will experience hotter conditions ranging from 37 C to 25 C. The Dead Sea is forecast to reach 36 C during the day and drop to 21 C at night, and the Gulf of Aqaba will record temperatures between 35 C and 24 C.
