Maximum and minimum temperatures today are expected to range as follows: in eastern Amman, 9–2°C; western Amman, 7–0°C; the northern highlands, 5 to -1°C; the Sharah highlands, 5 to -2°C; desert areas, 12–0°C; plains, 10–2°C; the northern Jordan Valley, 16–3°C; the southern Jordan Valley, 18–7°C; the Dead Sea, 18–8°C; and the Gulf of Aqaba, 19–8°C.

In its report, the Meteorological Department warns of the risk of frost formation during the early morning and late night hours over high mountainous areas and some desert and plain regions, possibly including the northern Jordan Valley. It also warns of reduced horizontal visibility due to fog during the early morning hours over high mountainous areas and parts of the desert and plains.

On Wednesday, moderate and high-level clouds will appear in the Kingdom’s skies, while the weather remains cold in most regions. Winds will be southeasterly at moderate speeds, becoming active at times and stirring dust, especially in desert areas.

On Thursday and Friday, temperatures are expected to rise slightly. The weather will remain cold in most regions and relatively mild in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Moderate and high-level clouds will appear, with southeasterly winds of moderate speed that may occasionally become active.
