AMMAN — On Monday "Twitter" changed its name and profile picture on their official account from the iconic bird to the letter "X." اضافة اعلان

Under Elon Musk's boisterous leadership of the platform since he acquired it last October, the company changed its business name to "X Corp," reflecting the billionaire's vision of developing a "super app" similar to the Chinese app "WeChat," Nabd News reported.

The logo that had accompanied "Twitter" since its inception, the white bird on a blue background, has been removed from the account, which is followed by 65 million users. The previous logo was described on Twitter's website in the past as "the most distinctive of our assets," and it was added, "for this reason, we protect it fiercely."

Musk’s promiseIt seems that this is a first step in fulfilling Musk's promise to change the platform's name and logo.

On Sunday Musk polled his millions of followers on the platform on whether they would favour changing the site’s colour scheme from blue to black in preparation for this choice.

In the early hours of Monday morning, Elon Musk changed his personal Twitter account picture, replacing his usual image with the letter "X,"  and tweeted a single letter, which was the same letter "X."

He tweeted: "We will soon say goodbye to the Twitter brand, and gradually all the birds."

Since Musk’s purchase of the platform many have been critical due to charges introduced for previously free services, changes to content moderation, and the return of previously banned right-wing accounts. Musk said earlier this month that Twitter has lost roughly half of its advertising revenue since he took control in October.

The bird logo was temporarily changed in April to an image of the Shiba Inu dog from the cryptocurrency "Dogecoin," which helped increase the currency's market value by four billion dollars.
