On Tuesday, Netflix announced the rollout of a new tab called "AI Discover," which lets users try innovative ways to find movies and series they want to watch.اضافة اعلان

The first experimental features within this tab will provide personalized recommendations based on the user's mood at that moment.

Users can choose from a set of curated categories containing clips of movies and series, based on their mood, viewing preferences and available time, or according to the latest and most popular titles.

These categories include options such as "Something light," "I want something scary," "A family movie night," and "Quick watches," among other options.

The addition of the new tab reflects Netflix's effort to make it easier to explore its growing library of content, moving from an experience based on continuous scrolling through titles to a more personalized experience powered by artificial intelligence.

Netflix explains that "AI Discover" works through a new intelligence layer it has developed, which responds in real time to the preferences users express and keeps learning to improve recommendations.

Once a user selects a category, they will see recommendations that match their choice. They can also move to more specific categories to keep searching until they find content that interests them, or choose "Something different" to start the search again.

Next to each title appears a "Tune Your Recommendations" button, alongside the "Play" and "My List" buttons, allowing users to save recommendations they like or exclude titles they do not want to see again in their suggestions.

In a post on its official website, Netflix said: "There is more content than ever to enjoy and discover on Netflix, but what suits a quiet evening at home may differ from what suits a family movie night or a few minutes of free time."

The company added: "We have spent years improving how content is discovered, through recommendations designed around viewers' tastes, from the titles they like to those they add to their list. Today, AI Discover joins them to offer a new way to explore."

Netflix describes "AI Discover" as its own "experience kitchen," in which it tests "new recipes for content discovery," in reference to using an experimental space to develop different methods of presenting recommendations.

The company stressed that user feedback will help it determine which features are worth keeping or improving before integrating them into the core Netflix experience.

Netflix has begun gradually rolling out "AI Discover" in the United States, to users who use Netflix in English on supported television devices, and its availability will expand to more users over the coming weeks.

Users who have access to the feature will see a new button called "Discover" with a red gem-shaped icon and a "New" label, in the top navigation bar on their TV screen.
