AMMAN — De La Salle was crowned the women’s Princess Aya Bint Al-Faisal Volleyball Cup winners, after beating Al-Nasr by three sets to one, (25-23) (25-22) (22-25) (25-) in a fierce match that took place Sunday night at Sports City. Al-Nasr’s Farah Al-Attaout and Rahaf Haimour delivered a great performance, relying on De La Salle’s mistakes, but De La Salle’s Zeena Al-Taher’s powerful spikes kept her team in the match for most of the game. In response to Jordan News, Tala Fahmawi, captain of De La Salle said: “Winning always feels great, we played against a team that progressed very well after the last time that both of us played in the super cup.” “For a split second after we lost the third set, things got intense and we were nervous, but the time outs that our coach used very wisely helped us to figure a way to win back the fourth set.” De La Salle’s Tamara Abu-Gharbieh  said the win was uplifting and “the perfect way for us to start the season, we are a very united group since have been playing together for a really long time, and I think this is what makes beating us a hard job for our opponents.” Read more Sports  Read More Trump: I Have One Condition to Lift Tariffs on China Series of Explosions Rock Russia’s Kursk City NATO Foreign Ministers Meet to Discuss Defense Spending and Regional Security
