Rasoun has emerged as a rural benchmark, blending the authenticity of the land with human progress. Its developmental journey began with agriculture and expanded into eco- and heritage tourism, becoming a destination for visitors seeking an immersive experience that combines nature with local life.

Dr. Mohammad Al-Khwaldeh, Director of Ajloun Antiquities, explained that Rasoun—administratively part of the Orjan district—is situated along one of Jordan’s most significant tourist routes: the Rasoun Tourism Trail. This trail stretches across long distances, connecting several areas in the governorate through dense forests, natural valleys, and historical sites, offering a unique blend of hiking, exploration, and a glimpse into rural lifestyles.

Ihab Shawashreh, a local resident, noted that Rasoun is rich in natural resources. The inhabitants rely primarily on agriculture as their main source of income, benefiting from abundant water and fertile soil. The town is famous for its ancient "Rumi" olive trees, figs, and aromatic plants. Farmers utilize rain-fed agriculture and natural springs, which enhance the quality and sustainability of the crops.

In recent years, the town has witnessed a significant boom in tourism. Shawashreh added that several residents have opened their homes to guests, promoting the concept of community-based tourism. The town now attracts domestic and international visitors with facilities such as chalets, tourist tents, and mountain climbing activities.

Omran Al-Sharaa, supervisor of the Rasoun Tourist Camp, stated that the camp aims to extend the duration of tourists' stays in Ajloun. It offers integrated services, including accommodation in equipped cabins, traditional food and beverages, and outdoor seating. The camp provides thrilling activities such as mountain rappelling (from a height of 20 meters), rope walking, and a 100-meter zipline.

Furthermore, Mohammad Al-Sharaa, head of the Rasoun Folklore Museum, emphasized that the museum serves as a window into the region's history and cultural identity. It houses a vast collection of artifacts, including Ottoman-era documents, traditional farming tools, ancient cooking utensils, folk costumes, and handicrafts. These efforts contribute to preserving cultural heritage and educating new generations about their ancestral roots while supporting the town's tourism movement.
