Ministry of Tourism Launches "Ahlan by Jordan" Platform
The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB), in cooperation with tourism associations, launched the integrated digital platform "Ahlan by Jordan" (Welcome to Jordan). This launch is part of a package of measures implemented by the Ministry and JTB to support the tourism sector and mitigate the impact of regional circumstances that have affected travel. It aims to provide practical solutions to stimulate inbound tourism and enhance the competitiveness of Jordan's tourism product.اضافة اعلان

The platform complements ongoing efforts by the Ministry and JTB to stimulate demand for Jordan as a tourist destination, support establishments and workers in the sector, and create new marketing tools to restore growth and strengthen the sector's resilience against regional changes. This runs parallel to continuing promotional and marketing campaigns in traditional markets and expanding into new ones to ensure sustainable tourism traffic.

The "Ahlan by Jordan" platform aims to streamline travel procedures for visitors, enabling them to plan and book their trips electronically through a unified window. This provides an integrated and safe travel experience while enhancing Jordan's appeal in target markets.

The platform offers various tour packages ranging from 3 to 8 days, with prices starting from $180 per person. These packages include hotel accommodation, transportation, tour guide services, and entry tickets to several archaeological sites.

The Ministry and JTB ensured that all tour packages include an overnight stay in the city of Petra, as it has been one of the destinations most affected by the recent decline in tourism. This is aimed at increasing hotel nights, boosting occupancy rates in tourism establishments, stimulating economic activity in the city, and encouraging visitors to explore other tourist destinations across the Kingdom's governorates.

In its first phase, the platform targets visitors coming from 1948 Arabs, the State of Palestine, Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the JTB are working to expand in later phases to target new markets, particularly African markets, which are less affected by regional tensions. This will help diversify tourist source markets, enhance the sustainability of tourism traffic, and reduce the sector's vulnerability to regional fluctuations.

The "Ahlan by Jordan" platform is the first national platform specialized in inbound tourism. It represents an initiative that reflects the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities' shift toward employing digital solutions—in partnership with the tourism sector—to ease visitor access to Jordan's tourism offerings and boost the sector's contribution to the national economy.
