According to comparative statistical data for 2024 and 2025, the total number of visitors to Wadi Rum during the first eleven months of 2025 rose to 199,125, achieving an overall growth rate of 5.1% compared with the same period in 2024, which recorded 189,461 visitors.

The figures reveal a sharp and notable revival in tourism activity with the onset of the autumn season. November 2025 recorded the highest growth rate of the year at 126.3%, with visitor numbers reaching 35,121, compared with just 15,518 in the same month of the previous year. October also saw strong growth of 85.8%.

The ministry noted that the primary driver of this growth was the strong return of international tourism. The number of foreign visitors in November alone rose to 28,341, marking an increase of 152.6%. The total number of foreign visitors throughout the year reached 131,647, reflecting an annual growth rate of 6.8%.

As for domestic tourism, Jordanian visitors maintained their presence in the “Valley of the Moon,” with a total of 67,478 visitors since the beginning of the year, representing a growth rate of 2.0%. January recorded the highest turnout among Jordanians, with growth reaching 123.1%.

The ministry emphasized that these promising figures—particularly the accelerating rise during the final quarter of the year—confirm the success of promotional plans targeting both traditional and new global markets. They have reinforced Wadi Rum’s status as a preferred global destination for adventure and contemplative tourism. The ministry added that this tourism momentum places a responsibility on all stakeholders to continue developing services and facilities within the reserve, in cooperation with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority and the local community, to ensure a sustainable tourism experience worthy of Jordan’s reputation.
