The number of visitors to Petra rose by approximately 23.1 percent during the first eleven months of 2025 compared with the same period in 2024, according to preliminary official data reviewed by Al Mamlaka.

The data showed that from January to November 2024, Petra received around 429,841 visitors, including 149,724 Jordanians and 280,117 foreign tourists.
During the same period in 2025, the number of visitors increased to about 529,167, comprising 157,938 Jordanians and 371,229 foreign visitors.
Figures indicate that the number of foreign visitors rose by 32.5 percent, while the number of Jordanian visitors increased by 5.5 percent compared with the same period.
Earlier, preliminary data issued by the Central Bank indicated that tourism income rose by 12.6 percent in November 2025 to reach USD 606.6 million, compared with an increase of 14.9 percent to USD 538.6 million in November 2024.
Accordingly, tourism income increased by 7.0 percent during the first eleven months of 2025, reaching USD 7,160.2 million, compared with USD 6,691.7 million during the corresponding period of 2024.
