The total number of visits to tourist sites last year reached 2,983,567, with the majority directed to Petra, which accounted for 20% of the total, according to data from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.

Data reviewed by Al Mamlaka indicated that 54% of visitors were foreigners, 41% were Jordanians, and 5% were Arabs.
Visits to Petra alone totaled 582,550.
Tourist visits were distributed across several attractions, including Ajloun Castle, Mount Nebo, Wadi Rum, Jerash, the Archaeological Museum, Madaba Church, and other sites.
Looking back at previous years, total visits to tourist sites stood at 2,610,732 in 2024, while 2023, considered a record year for the tourism sector, recorded 6,008,026 visits.
The ministry’s data noted that the number of visits reflects repeat visits by both international and domestic tourists to various sites.
Jordan’s tourism sector recorded positive performance in 2025, with the number of visitors rising to 7.04 million. Tourism revenue grew by 7.6% during 2025, reaching 5,523 million dinars.
The number of participants in the “Urdonna Jannah” (Our Jordan Is a Paradise) program reached 161,000, while the unified ticket witnessed a significant increase in demand. In addition, 276 new tourism establishments were classified, and 48 tour guides were licensed.
