The total number of visits to tourist sites during the first half of this year reached 1,305,454, with the majority going to the city of Petra, according to data from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.اضافة اعلان

The data indicated that 48% of the visits were made by Jordanians, and 47% by foreign visitors, while the share of Arab visitors stood at 5%.

The number of visits to Petra alone reached 235,157.

The remaining visits were distributed across several tourist sites, including Ajloun Castle, Mount Nebo, Wadi Rum, Jerash, the Archaeological Museum, the Madaba Map Church, and other locations.

Looking back at 2024, the total number of visits to tourist sites was 2,610,732, while the number reached 6,008,026 in 2023, which is considered a record year for the tourism sector.

The ministry's data noted that the number of visits includes repeat visits made by both international and domestic visitors to different tourist sites.

Jordan's tourism sector recorded a positive performance during 2025, as the number of visitors rose to 7.04 million, and tourism revenues grew by 7.6% to reach 5.523 billion dinars.
