Ajloun Agriculture Director Rami Al-Adwan noted that the governorate consistently takes measures to monitor the forests and protect them from fires and encroachments, while implementing ongoing afforestation programs to expand green spaces and preserve this natural heritage for future generations.

Director of Ajloun Forest Reserve, Uday Al-Qudah, emphasized that the reserve contains a wide variety of trees, such as oak, evergreen oak, and cypress, along with designated walking trails for visitors. He stressed the importance of preserving vegetation cover and preventing any violations that could harm the ecological balance.

Meanwhile, Deputy President of the “Nesmat Shawq Tourism Association” in Ajloun, Ibtihal Al-Sumadi, highlighted that Ajloun’s forests form an essential part of Jordan’s natural landscape. She underscored the importance of raising environmental awareness among visitors to protect the region’s unique plant and animal diversity.

Shaher Shaaban, a member of the “Environment Unites Us” initiative, explained that the forests act as a true reservoir of environmental resources and contribute to regulating the local climate. He called for adherence to guidelines during recreational activities to safeguard nature and protect trees and the surrounding environment.

For his part, President of the Kafrnjeh Sons Forum, Abdulrahman Al-Asouli, pointed out that the forests also hold social and cultural value, as local residents use them for recreation and teaching children to appreciate nature. He noted that such spaces strengthen environmental belonging within the governorate.
