Tourism trails in Ajloun Governorate have become a unique attraction for adventure seekers and nature lovers, thanks to their environmental diversity, dense forests, deep valleys, and archaeological landmarks, making them a preferred destination for both domestic and international tourism.

Samer Freihat, Director of Ajloun’s Culture Directorate, said that the cultural tourism trails in the governorate provide visitors with the opportunity to explore heritage sites, old houses, and local traditions. He noted that blending the cultural and tourism aspects offers an integrated experience that highlights Ajloun’s historical identity and civilizational diversity.
For his part, Ajloun Forest Reserve Director, Uday Qudah, explained that the reserve is home to a network of eco-trails winding through the forests, offering visitors a unique chance to observe rare birds and plants. He pointed out that these trails contribute to promoting eco-tourism and protecting biodiversity.
Meanwhile, Marwa Al-Samadi, a member of the “Environment Unites Us” initiative, highlighted that Ajloun’s trails have become an integral part of tourism activities attracting youth groups and university students. She added that some associations and tourism companies organize regular trips to explore these trails and utilize their features to stimulate tourism and economic activity.
Engineer Yazid Qudah, a member of the Environmental Coordination Committee, emphasized that Ajloun’s tourism trails are not only about the joy of hiking, but also provide visitors with opportunities to discover archaeological sites, old houses, and rural farms. He stressed the importance of providing accompanying services such as signboards, rest areas, and sanitary facilities to ensure visitors’ comfort.
