Two Palestinians were injured by Israeli occupation forces’ gunfire on Sunday as Israeli forces continued shelling and opening fire in various areas across the Gaza Strip.

Al-Qahera News correspondent Bashir Jabr in Gaza reported that two Palestinians were injured by Israeli forces’ gunfire in the Al-Maslakha area south of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Israeli tanks opened heavy fire toward eastern Gaza City, coinciding with artillery shelling around the Al-Sanafour area in the eastern Tuffah neighborhood. Artillery shelling of the neighborhood also resumed.
An Israeli drone opened fire in the Shuja’iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City, while warplanes carried out a heavy airstrike east of the Tuffah neighborhood, completely destroying the Al-Sakhra Commercial Complex building. Israeli military vehicles also resumed gunfire in the area.
In the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli tanks opened heavy fire north of Rafah, while artillery shelling targeted eastern areas of Khan Younis amid continued gunfire and warplane and drone overflights.
The death toll from the Israeli occupation’s aggression against the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 73,651 martyrs and 174,575 injured.
Israel carries out occasional airstrikes on the Gaza Strip despite a ceasefire with Hamas that has been in effect since October 10.
The ceasefire agreement took effect on October 10 following the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from populated areas of the Gaza Strip and the beginning of displaced Palestinians’ return to the northern Gaza Strip, as part of the first phase of US President Donald Trump’s initiative to end the war in Gaza.
