During the sixth week of its intensified campaign against crystal methamphetamine, Jordan’s Anti-Narcotics Department handled 112 cases across the Kingdom, including 43 cases involving drug trafficking and distribution and 69 involving drug use.

A Public Security Directorate spokesperson said officers from the department arrested 193 people in connection with the cases, including 72 suspects in trafficking and distribution cases and 121 in possession and drug-use cases. Various quantities of crystal methamphetamine were seized from their possession.
The spokesperson stressed that the campaign will continue with full determination and without leniency until it achieves its objectives, including raising awareness about the dangers of the substance and pursuing anyone involved with it, given the risks it poses, which may include the user’s death or involvement in crimes that threaten society and public safety.
The spokesperson urged everyone to fulfill their humanitarian and social responsibility by reporting any information about individuals or activities linked to crystal methamphetamine through the unified emergency number 911, stressing that all reports will be handled with the utmost confidentiality and seriousness.
