TotalEnergies Jordan marked the 18th World Day for Safety last week with a series of events aimed at raising awareness about technological risks and reinforcing safety practices across its operations.اضافة اعلان
Employees, contractors, and station managers took part in interactive sessions held both at the company's offices and on-site locations. The workshops focused on "critical barriers," the systems and procedures designed to protect people, infrastructure, and the environment, as well as how to respond when those barriers are compromised.
This year’s theme placed a special emphasis on technological risks, an area of growing concern as companies increasingly rely on complex systems to manage their operations. Participants explored real-life case studies, discussed downgraded safety situations, and shared strategies for improving on-the-ground responses.
“Safety is not just a policy; it’s a shared responsibility,” said François de Charnacé, Managing Director of TotalEnergies Jordan, during the events. The sessions encouraged employees at all levels to take an active role in identifying and managing risks.
The World Day for Safety is observed annually across TotalEnergies’ global network, but the local initiative in Jordan emphasized a hands-on approach, blending technical knowledge with practical exercises. The company said the goal is to build a workplace culture where safety is woven into daily routines, not treated as an afterthought.
