Ship-tracking data showed that traffic through the Middle East's two key maritime chokepoints the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab al-Mandab Strait remained largely unchanged on Tuesday compared with the previous day.

According to shipping data from Kpler, eight vessels transited the Strait of Hormuz, including five oil tankers and three bulk carriers, matching the previous day's total.
Of these, six vessels entered the strait three oil tankers and three bulk carriers while one LNG carrier and one oil tanker exited.
Before the outbreak of the Iran war on February 28, and Iran's subsequent closure of the waterway, approximately 130 to 140 vessels passed through the Strait of Hormuz each day.
Data from the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) and Kpler also showed that an LNG carrier operated by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) reappeared outside the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday carrying a cargo loaded from Das Island.
The vessel, Mubarez, departed Das Island in the UAE on July 14 after loading its cargo. Ship-tracking data last placed it inside the strait on July 16.
According to the two data providers, the tanker is currently off India's west coast. LSEG data indicate that its discharge destination is the Dahej LNG terminal in Gujarat, India, with an estimated arrival date of August 5.
This marks the third time since the war began that the Mubarez has successfully exited the Strait of Hormuz carrying LNG cargoes from Das Island. The previous two shipments were delivered to China and India.
ADNOC declined to comment on the location, movements, or route of its vessels, citing company policy.
Kpler data also showed that 20 vessels transited the Bab al-Mandab Strait on Tuesday, with 10 entering and 10 exiting, unchanged from the previous day.
The data showed that six oil tankers, three dry bulk carriers, and one LNG carrier entered the Bab al-Mandab Strait, while seven oil tankers and three bulk carriers departed.
Some vessels may still be sailing with their transponders switched off and therefore are not included in the tracking statistics.
On Tuesday, Qatar said mediators were making progress in efforts to end the war between the United States and Iran, helping push oil prices lower.
However, Tehran denied U.S. President Donald Trump's claim that negotiations were already underway.
