GDP increased 4.9% in first half of 2022

AMMAN — Jordan’s gross domestic product (GDP) increased by 4.9 percent in the first six months of 2022 compared to the same period in 2021, according to data by the Amman Chamber of Commerce.اضافة اعلان

The data, which was carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, showed that the Kingdom’s GDP at current prices was JD15.92 billion for the first half of 2022, compared with JD15.18 billion for the corresponding period in 2021.

The data showed that for the first half of this year, the trade and services sector contributed 54.7 percent of the GDP, while the financial services, real estate, and business sectors made up 20.3 percent of the GDP.

Agriculture and fishing made up 4.1 percent, while construction made up 3 percent, electricity and water 1.3 percent, and personal and social services 8.8 percent.
