The banking sector rejected nearly 99,000 new financing applications in 2025, with a total value exceeding JOD 1.699 billion. Meanwhile, the overall value of requested credit facilities increased by approximately JOD 1.827 billion compared to 2024, according to data released by the Central Bank of Jordan.اضافة اعلان

According to figures reviewed by Al Mamlaka, the total value of new credit facilities for which clients applied in 2025 reached JOD 13.795 billion, compared to JOD 11.967 billion during the same period in 2024.

Data issued by the Central Bank indicate that the domestic banking sector approved financing facilities amounting to JOD 12.095 billion last year, while rejecting loans and credit facilities worth JOD 1.699 billion during the same period.

As for the total number of new credit applications, it reached 413,000 across various sectors in 2025. The banking sector approved 314,000 applications, while the remaining requests were rejected.

The total value of credit facilities from January through the end of December 2025 amounted to JOD 36.060 billion. The vast majority—88.6 percent, or nearly JOD 32 billion—was directed to the private sector, including both resident and non-resident entities.
