According to a statement issued by the JEA on Saturday, Al-Khudari emphasized that the South Korean market is a promising frontier for Jordanian products. He noted that Jordan's participation in the Seoul International Food & Hotel exhibition demonstrated genuine opportunities for national products to enter this market, especially given the exhibition's extensive international presence and the participation of companies from around the globe, reflecting the Korean market's openness to high-quality imported goods.

He stated that participating in this exhibition represents the first trade initiative organized by the association in the South Korean market. He expressed hope that this step would serve as a true cornerstone for developing trade and investment relations between the two countries, and contribute to opening new horizons for Jordanian exports in Asian markets.

Al-Khudari added that the participating Jordanian companies held intensive meetings and contacts with Korean importers as well as Arab importers residing in South Korea, expecting these meetings to yield positive results in the near future.

He stressed that entering the Korean market requires a continuous presence and sustained participation to introduce Jordanian products and build trust with importers and consumers in this vital market. He explained that the association is continuing its efforts to open new markets for national products and enhance their competitiveness globally by organizing participation in international exhibitions, trade missions, and building partnerships with business organizations worldwide. This contributes to increasing Jordanian exports, supporting the national economy, and providing greater growth opportunities for local companies.

Furthermore, he underscored the importance of building upon the distinguished relations between Jordan and South Korea, which enjoy the support of both countries' leaderships. He noted that the private sector is called upon to capitalize on these ties and transform them into economic and commercial partnerships that boost the volume of trade exchange and mutual investments.

He pointed out that, based on the positive outcomes achieved during the current participation in the Seoul International Food & Hotel exhibition, the association will work on organizing Jordanian participation in the next edition of the event to enhance the accessibility of national products to Asian markets and solidify their presence in South Korea.

Al-Khudari mentioned that the association, established in 1988, operates according to a strategy aimed at expanding the reach of Jordanian products in foreign markets and strengthening the presence of national companies in international exhibitions and events. He stated that the JEA is moving forward with implementing programs and initiatives that increase national exports and open new markets, which positively reflects on the national economy and boosts the export sector's contribution to economic development.

He also noted that there is ongoing coordination and cooperation between the association and private sector institutions in the Kingdom, particularly industrial chambers and Jordan Exports (JE), to support Jordanian companies and enable them to access foreign markets.

For her part, Yeon Hwang welcomed the Jordanian delegation, emphasizing the importance of enhancing communication and cooperation between the business communities of both countries, especially since her country's market enjoys high purchasing power and an increasing interest in high-quality food products.

She explained that Jordanian products possess good competitive capabilities, particularly in the food, agricultural products, and food processing industries, expressing her looking forward to expanding the volume of trade cooperation between Korean and Jordanian companies in the coming period.

Hwang stated that the Korea Importers Association is ready to provide the necessary facilities to bolster communication between businessmen and companies in both countries, contributing to building long-term trade partnerships and increasing the volume of trade exchange between Jordan and South Korea. She highlighted the importance of continuous exchange of visits and bilateral meetings to explore available investment and trade opportunities on both sides.

The meeting was attended from the Jordanian side by the Jordanian Ambassador to South Korea, Asal Al-Tal, Senator Mamdouh Nabass, and Halim Abu Rahma, Director General of the Jordan Exporters Association.
