Speaking to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), Jaghbir said the meeting underscores His Majesty’s continued interest in the national industry as one of the pillars of the national economy and a key driver of growth and job creation. He noted that the King’s directives have always served the interests and advancement of the industrial sector.

Jaghbir added that His Majesty was keen during the meeting to listen to the progress achieved by Jordanian industry in recent years, made possible through his vision and constant support. He emphasized that the sector is now witnessing an exceptional stage of maturity and accomplishment, reflecting decades of hard work and determination toward excellence.

He explained that the regular royal meetings with representatives of the industrial sector reflect His Majesty’s clear strategic vision, which focuses on empowering national industry and enhancing its competitiveness regionally and globally, in line with the Economic Modernization Vision.

“The royal meeting represents an important milestone in the journey of supporting industry,” Jaghbir said, “and it reaffirms the Hashemite leadership’s approach of direct engagement with the field, listening firsthand to the challenges of various sectors to formulate realistic solutions.”

He added, “His Majesty delivered clear messages on the need to redouble efforts to open new markets for Jordanian products, leverage trade agreements, stimulate industrial investment, and strengthen public-private partnerships. The King’s directives form a clear roadmap for the next stage.”

Jaghbir noted that since His Majesty assumed his constitutional powers, the industrial sector has created tens of thousands of direct job opportunities and launched thousands of new industrial investments. Today, there are around 18,000 industrial establishments across the Kingdom, forming a comprehensive national production network.

He emphasized that the royal meeting is a renewed vote of confidence in the capabilities of Jordanian industry, which today contributes about 23% of the GDP, provides over 262,000 jobs (80% of which are held by Jordanians), and achieved 8.6 billion dinars in exports last year, reaching nearly 155 global markets.

Jaghbir praised His Majesty’s efforts to promote Jordanian exports and attract investments, both through foreign visits and meetings with investors at home, noting that these efforts have positioned Jordan as a regional hub for high-value strategic industries.

He reaffirmed that Jordanian industry is committed to implementing the Economic Modernization Vision, in line with the King’s directives to increase the role of national industries in local markets and procurement, expand and diversify exports, and strengthen Jordan’s global standing in production and trade.

Jaghbir concluded that His Majesty’s attention to the industrial sector reflects a deep belief in its role as the main driver of economic growth, employment, and exports. He stressed that the industrial chambers will continue working closely with the government and relevant institutions to develop the business environment, empower small and medium industries, and expand national production, thereby reinforcing Jordan’s economic and food security.

He affirmed that the industrial sector will remain a leading force for economic growth and a key pillar for investment and job creation. — (Petra)
