Gold prices in the local market rose on Monday, reaching record levels in Jordan’s history.
According to the second pricing list issued by the General Union of Owners of Jewelry and Gold Shops, gold prices increased by 1.5 dinars per gram. The selling price of 21-karat gold—the most in demand among citizens—reached 77.8 dinars per gram at jewelry shops, compared to 74.8 dinars for buying purposes.

Prices for other gold karats also rose for purchasing from jewelry shops, with 24-karat, 18-karat, and 14-karat gold reaching 89.2, 68.8, and 52.3 dinars per gram, respectively.
