Gold prices fell on Wednesday as investors took profits after the metal hit a record high in the previous session, while markets were weighed down by cautious remarks from U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell regarding potential interest rate cuts.اضافة اعلان

According to Bloomberg, spot gold fell 0.3% to $3,753.22 per ounce, while U.S. gold futures for December delivery dropped 0.8% to $3,785.9.

As for other precious metals, spot silver fell 0.7% to $43.72 per ounce, platinum declined 0.2% to $1,475.78, and palladium slipped 0.1% to $1,218.54.

Meanwhile, oil prices rose globally for the second consecutive day on Wednesday, after a report showed a decline in U.S. crude inventories last week.

Brent crude futures rose 27 cents to $67.90 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures gained 28 cents to $63.69. –(Petra)
