According to Rabehi Allan, Head of the General Syndicate of Owners of Jewelry Shops, the price of the Rashadi lira (7 grams) reached JD 532, while the English lira (8 grams) stood at JD 608.
Allan told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that demand for gold in the local market—whether for jewelry or gold lira coins—was “weak.”
He also noted that the yellow metal closed its weekly trading on Friday at USD 3,760 per ounce. — (Petra)
