The total number of apartments sold in the Kingdom during the first nine months of this year reached 27,508 units, marking a 2.1% increase compared to the same period last year, when 26,940 apartments were sold, according to the monthly report issued by the Department of Lands and Survey.

According to the data, the total number of apartments sold in September was 3,384, compared to 3,277 units sold in the same month last year — an increase of 3.27%, but a decrease of 7.97% compared to August, when 3,677 apartments were sold.
The report indicated that the number of apartments larger than 150 square meters sold during the first nine months of this year rose by 8%, reaching 12,407 units, compared to 11,518 units sold during the same period in 2024.
In September alone, the number of apartments exceeding 150 square meters increased by 13%, reaching 1,496 units, compared to 1,320 units sold in the same month of 2024.
The number of apartments smaller than 120 square meters also rose by 3% during the first nine months of this year, totaling 8,351 units, compared to 8,143 units sold in the same period last year.
During September, sales of apartments under 120 square meters rose by 10%, reaching 1,161 units, compared to 1,056 units sold in September 2024.
Meanwhile, sales of apartments ranging between 120 and 150 square meters declined by 3%, totaling 7,082 units, compared to 7,279 units sold during the first nine months of 2024, according to the report.
In September, apartment sales within the same size range fell by 2%, reaching 885 units, compared to 901 units sold during the same month of 2024.
The report also noted that the Cabinet decision issued on November 12, 2024, granted a 50% exemption from registration fees for apartments larger than 150 square meters, in addition to the previous decision that provided a 100% exemption for apartments smaller than 150 square meters.
