The Department of Statistics issued its monthly report on the general index of industrial producer prices, noting a 0.55% decrease in industrial producer prices during the first seven months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.اضافة اعلان

On a monthly level, the general index of industrial producer prices fell by 0.88% in July compared with the same month in 2024, while it rose by 0.19% compared with the previous month. The base year has been updated to 2018=100 instead of 2010=100.

The cumulative index of industrial producer prices for the first seven months of 2025 reached 106.80 points, compared with 107.39 points for the same period in 2024. For July 2025, the index stood at 106.74 points, compared with 107.68 for July 2024, and 106.53 points for the previous month.

By sector, over the first seven months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, "manufacturing industries" prices fell by 0.76%, accounting for a relative importance of 88.74%, while "extractive industries" prices rose by 1.36% (5.36% relative importance) and "electricity" prices increased by 0.88% (5.91% relative importance).

In terms of commodity contribution, the decline in the general index in July 2025 compared to July 2024 was mainly due to a 1.43% drop in manufacturing industries (88.74% relative importance), whereas extractive industries increased by 6.73% (5.36% relative importance) and electricity prices rose by 0.83% (5.91% relative importance).

On a monthly comparison, the general index for July 2025 increased compared with June 2025, driven by a 0.19% rise in manufacturing industries, a 1.81% rise in extractive industries, and a 1.30% decrease in electricity prices.
