Jordan’s exports of jewelry, garments, and fertilizers grew by the end of February this year, contributing significantly to the overall increase in national exports.اضافة اعلان

According to figures from the Department of Statistics, monitored by Petra News Agency, the Kingdom’s exports of garments and related items rose by 2.8% to reach JD 257 million, compared to JD 250 million during the same period last year.

National exports of jewelry saw a notable rise of 49.5%, reaching JD 154 million by the end of February, compared to JD 103 million during the same period last year.

Fertilizer exports also grew by 8.8%, totaling JD 123 million compared to JD 113 million in the same period of the previous year.

On the other hand, exports of raw potash dropped by 13.4% to JD 71 million, down from JD 82 million in the same period last year. Phosphate exports also declined by 20.9%, amounting to JD 68 million compared to JD 86 million.

Additionally, national exports of pharmaceutical preparations decreased by 23.8%, reaching JD 64 million compared to JD 84 million during the same period last year.

Overall, Jordan’s national exports rose by 8.1% by the end of February this year, totaling JD 1.309 billion, compared to JD 1.211 billion during the same period in the previous year.

“National exports” are defined as goods and services produced within the country and exported abroad. These include products and services created by domestic companies and institutions and sold to international markets.
