According to Euronews, the decision came during meetings of the United Nations General Assembly, where Madrid also announced its participation in the donor group tasked with funding the Palestinian Authority, alongside countries such as France and the United Kingdom.

The new coalition’s program includes a series of measures such as banning the export of dual-use and military equipment to Israel, prohibiting the transit of military shipments through its ports, ending public contracts with institutions supporting the occupation, demanding Israel’s accountability before the International Court of Justice, and imposing an oil embargo and further punitive measures if Israel continues to ignore the international community.
