According to the report, universities in Europe and South America have taken steps to suspend cooperation. Among them are Trinity College Dublin, as well as universities in Norway, Belgium, and Spain. The University of Amsterdam also terminated its student exchange program with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, the European Association of Social Anthropologists announced that it would no longer cooperate with any Israeli academic institution.
The newspaper also noted that several academic bodies in Britain, France, and Germany have declared they would cut ties with Israeli universities, while the Universities UK (UUK) union maintained its stance against an academic boycott, arguing that such measures would “undermine academic freedom and the exchange of ideas.”
