The United States is ruling out offensive strikes against Houthi positions and believes Saudi Arabia is currently receiving the resources it needs from Washington, CNN reported, citing U.S. officials.

CNN said President Donald Trump has made clear that his “red line” is direct U.S. involvement in strikes against Houthi positions. One U.S. official told the network: “No offensive strikes.”
Another U.S. official said Washington believes Saudi Arabia is currently receiving all the resources it needs to confront the Houthis, pointing to increased intelligence-sharing and targeting support. CNN has previously reported that the United States has provided Saudi Arabia with additional intelligence and targeting assistance while declining requests to carry out the strikes itself.
The comments come amid Houthi threats to target Saudi airports. Mohammed Muftah, acting head of the Houthi administration in Sanaa, said the group would respond to any force that attacks Yemen, reiterating its policy of “escalation in response to escalation.”
The U.S. State Department has also issued security warnings urging Americans in the region to exercise increased caution and prepare for possible disruptions to travel, amid concerns that the military escalation could develop rapidly.
The confrontation between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia has entered a more intense phase, with Houthi forces carrying out missile and drone attacks targeting Riyadh and areas near King Khalid International Airport, as well as vital Aramco facilities in Yanbu and areas of Jizan and Najran.
Saudi Arabia, meanwhile, has carried out airstrikes against multiple positions inside Yemen, while its air defenses have sought to intercept incoming attacks and early-warning systems have been activated to protect civilian sites.
