AMMAN — MP Tayseer Krishan
said that internet services will return to the Maan Governorate uninterrupted
later Tuesday, a local media outlet reported.
He added that the situation in Maan has settled and returned to normal.
Several provinces in the south of
Jordan saw strikes last week. Truck drivers were the first to take action,
followed by taxi drivers and ride-share drivers.
In Maan on December 15, Colonel
Abdul Razzaq Dalabeh, the deputy police chief of Maan province, was shot in the
head while officers tried to "calm down riots" in the southern town
of Husseiniya, the Public Security Directorate said in a statement.
Krishan added that whoever has been
charged will remain in custody, but the remaining cases of electronic crimes
resulting from the sit-in or strike will not be prosecuted. These decisions, he
