Two-day workshop to look into election and party laws — Maaytah

AMMAN — Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs Musa Al-Maaytah stated that election and party laws were set to achieve His Majesty King Abdullah’s goal of creating a parliament that is based on teamwork, according to Alghad.اضافة اعلان

A workshop was held recently to examine the amendments to the election and party laws.

During the workshop, Maaytah contended that the “bills aim at reaching a parliament that is based on organized team, party, and programmatic work so that future governments will be formed based on programs chosen by the people.”

The two-day workshop was held near the Dead Sea and discussed the results of the Royal Committee for Modernizing the Political System in relevance to the election and party laws.

In attendance were the Legal Parliamentary Committee, the Minister of State for Legal Affairs Wafa Bani Mustafa, various presidents of parliamentary parties, Maaytah, and some members of the Royal Committee.
