Twelve new COVID-19 deaths and 1,022 new cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 1,022 new COVID-19 cases and 12 new deaths Saturday, bringing the total death toll to 11,028 and the total number of cases to 860,818.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 347 cases, while Zarqa recorded 93 cases. Irbid registered 254 cases, Balqa 58 cases, Karak recorded 29, Jerash recorded zero cases, and Tafileh recorded 13. Madaba registered 30 cases, Aqaba 32, and Ajloun 30.

The ministry said in a statement that around 50 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 94 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 20,701 according to the ministry. Around 4.72 percent of the 21,666 COVID-19 tests conducted Saturday came back positive.
