The Jordan News Agency, Petra, said the course brought together conservation and restoration experts.

It was held by the Department of Antiquities, in partnership with the Getty Conservation Institute and the International Center for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property.

It focuses on two strategic and sustainable methods for preserving archaeological sites: protective shelters and reburial.

Participants in the course will learn complex techniques that can contribute to providing a more stable environment for vulnerable archaeological historical sites through a field visit to Jerash, Umm al-Rasas, and Madaba, which feature marvelous mosaics.
